Détails du Lot
Serge Moreno Cohen (French, b. 1951) Miles Davis, 1984 Gelatin silver print, printed 1997 10-7/8 x 10-7/8 inches (27.6 x 27.6 cm) (image) 16 x 12 inches (sheet) Signed, titled, and dated in pencil, and with photographer's stamp, verso. PROVENANCE: The artist; Abe Frajndlich, acquired from the above, circa 1997. Serge Cohen was one of my colleagues at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Magazine, where he started working a few years before me, in 1982. For Serge, one of the great highlights of his professional life the sessions he had with the incredible Miles Davis and the images they created during those sessions were seminal portraits of the genius musician. As is evident from the image, Miles was always the consummate performer, behind his trumpet and in front of the camera. This and the his image of Jasper Johns, came into my collection in trade with my good friend, Serge Cohen. (Abe Frajndlich) HID12401132022 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
The artist; Abe Frajndlich, acquired from the above.
Overall excellent condition with no visible defects. Sheet is loose, not framed.
