A Russian Pan-Slavic Cloisonné Enameled Gilt Silver Box Bolin, Attributed to Feodor Rückert, Moscow, 1908-1917, with additional Swedish import marks 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches (3.8 x 8.9 x 6.3 cm) 238 grams PROVENANCE: New York Collection; John Atzbach Antiques, Bellevue, Washington, acquired from the above; Acquired from the above by the present owner. This box is easily attributable to Feodor Rückert, as it is a beautiful example of his style and technique, and a particularly charming design of a woodland scene with a family of owls, a hare, a hedgehog, and abstracted foliage and mushrooms. The work bears additional Swedish marks, indicating that it was exported back to Stockholm for sale.
