In 1994 the Laumeier Sculpture Parks in St. Louis, Missouri, commissioned Manuel Neri to create a marble sculpture, Aurelia Roma, honoring the wife of a longstanding member of the park. Neri went on to produce an edition of four bronze maquette-sized statues based on the original life-sized marble. The present lot is from this 1996 bronze edition. Presents well. Small 1/4 inch abrasion with small loss to patina to underside of figure's chin. Dust to recesses.
