Title: Sitzende Alte.
Date: Approx. 1900.
Technique: Etching on Japan.
Depiction Size: 19 x 14,5cm.
Sheet Size: 22,5 x 17,5cm.
Notation: Inscribed verso by a hand other than that of the artist.


Condition:
Sheet edges trimmed, slightly irregular, especially upper left. Minimally discoloured, slightly discoloured in the former mat opening. Trace of a former mounting upper left. Occasional minimal creases. Remains of former mounting on verso (protruding recto), slight foxing (slightly bleeding through recto) and slightly discoloured. Otherwise in good condition.

Probably from the edition of 25 copies on Japan outside the edition of 100 copies on laid paper. Motif from around 1900. Published by Paul Westheim in 1919 as sheet 4 in 'Die Schaffenden'. Originally with the dry stamp 'DIE SCHAFFENDEN'. This may have been lost when the sheet was trimmed.
