[AW]. - A compositional masterpiece of a cityscape. - Beckmann set up his own printshop not far from the “Eiserner Steg” (Iron Bridge) depicted here. - This enabled him to produce particularly beautiful, grainy prints. - This rare print combines Beckmann's technical skill with his typically cool, dissecting view of reality. In good condition. Slightly discolored and a few tiny brown spots. Two small restored tears (approx. 6-12 mm) in the center of the right edge of the sheet. The outer edges of the sheet are slightly irregular due to the paper, with some minor scuffing along the lower edge.
