Sanguine with pencil. Signed in center right. Titled on the sheet underneath, probably by a hand other than that of the artist. On wove paper. 42.5 x 27 cm. , the full sheet. [KA].
Accompanied by a written expert opinion by Dr. Heinrich Voss, Pappenheim, dated August 15, 1989. We are grateful to Ms. Margot Th. Brandlhuber, Museum Villa Stuck, for her kind assistance.
Private collection, Switzerland. Galerie Jörg Schuhmacher, Frankfurt am Main. Private collection, South Germany (acquired from the above in 2022). Family-owned ever since
In good condition. There is a tiny tear in the lower right corner of the sheet and a slight crease in the lower left corner. There is a fine, superficial abrasion on the lower left edge of the sheet. The edges of the sheet show minimal, faint handling marks in places.
