• Commissioned by Philip Morris to accompany the “Pop and Op” exhibition, shown at major American museums between 1965 and 1967.
• The glossy look is a reference to the 1969 moon landing and the fascination with space travel shortly before the peak of the Space Age.
• Other copies are in the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
