- Made during his year at the Villa Massimo in Rome on a scholarship. - In 1963, Horst Antes found his way to structured multi-figure pictures. - He participated in documenta III, 4 and 6 in 1964, 1968 and 1977. - The “Heads” and “Cephalopods” from the 1960s are considered the artist's most sought-after works.
We are grateful to the Atelier Antes for the kind support in cataloging this lot.

In good condition. Next to the lower left figure, colro slightly faded in the white part. A tiny pinhole in the upper margin (conditional of the process of creation).
