Insbesondere die Wiedergabe der Bäume, der Laubkronen und der feineren Details wie die Schafherde, weisen auf die Brueghel-Tradition. Möglicherweise als Auftragsbild entstanden, um die Schlossanlage mit erhöhter Burganlage idealisierend zu dokumentieren. The painting style clearly reflects the tradition of Jan Brueghel the Elder (1568 – 1625). In particular, the depiction of the trees, the foliage, and the finer details such as the flock of sheep point to the Brueghel tradition. Similar motifs are known from David Vinckboons, albeit with a livelier approach to the figures.
