Signed lower right: KARPART
Kar-Part (20th Century) American Pastime Acrylic on panel 33 x 26-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches (83.8 x 67.3 x 3.8 cm) Signed lower right: KARPART This work is included in Art For Good, a dedicated session within the auction where a portion of the proceeds from each sale supports a worthy charity. Ten percent (10%) of the net proceeds from this piece will go to American Heart Association. LA-based street artist Kar-Part, originally a mechanical engineer, uses art to express his frustration with socio-political and economic issues. His "Totem Dolls" series, started in 2020, portrays public figures and historical icons, peeling back layers of their identity to explore what drives them. Kar-Part’s street art, created using stencils and aerosols, has evolved into limited edition works on canvas and wood. HID12401132022 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
This work is made of various die-cut panels stacked together. Upper right panel is slightly loose from the board, does not appear to impact the image. Unframed.
