Bunny Yeager (American, 1929-2014) Untitled (Nude on Couch), circa 1960s Gelatin silver print, printed later 10-1/4 x 10-1/4 inches (26.0 x 26.0 cm) (image) 20 x 16 inches (sheet) Signed and inscribed A/E 1/2 in pencil, verso. From the collection of Grapefruit Moon Gallery Marci Lane, who is featured as one of Bunny Yeager's favored models in the Taschen book Bunny's Honeys is seen in a mid-century interior, looking pensive and reflective. An emotional view by Yeager that reflects her abilities outside the pin-up genre conventions. Toward the end of her life, Bunny Yeager found the critical acclaim that had overlooked her for much of her career, with celebrated exhibitions at galleries in Florida and beyond, and a museum exhibition at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA. For these, Yeager reapproached her earlier work as works of fine art, creating museum quality exhibition sized prints such as the one seen here.
