• Using broad, impasto brushstrokes and a composition strongly defined by central perspective, Brockhusen captured an atmospheric garden landscape.
• Between 1906 and 1915, he was represented by the renowned art dealer Paul Cassirer.
• From 1905, Theo von Brockhusen was a member of the Berlin Secession and, from 1914, of the Free Secession, assuming its presidency in 1918.
• Most recently, he was honored in a grand retrospective at the Potsdam Museum from November 2025 to March 2026.

In good condition, with vibrant colors. Doubled. Isolated small areas of color loss, particularly along the upper edge of the image. The outer edges of the image are slightly soiled in places. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source, and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
