Mixed media . Aluminum, metal, plastic, paint. Unique object. Ca. 45 x 48.5 x 37 cm.
A picture in F.J. Verspohl's publication from 2001 shows the work without the green net structure, which was presumably added by the artist at a later point, as the fact that he often revised his works suggests. When the present owner acquired the work in 2002, it already featured the net structrure. [AR].
- Unique object from the Heinrich Kleist series. - Color and form explode as Frank Stella conquers the third dimension with his wall sculptures. - His works from the 1990s amaze with their complexity and the artist's vivid imagination. - For the first time on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
