[AM]. - Made in Caputh near Potsdam, a small town that Heckel often went to in order to draw and paint. - In a scetch-like rendition, Heckel shows uss a caalm canal on which he impressively staged the light reflections on the water. - The strong accentuations add a remakable expressiveness to the spontaneous depiction. In good condition consistent of the age. A few small, minimally soiled spots. Left margin with a vertical folding mark. Lower right margin with a small split. Lower left corner minimally soiled. Both left corners with a tiny round hole, presumably from the making. Right and lower margin slightly irregular. Laid on green-brown paper.
