LITERATURE: David Riedel, Peter August Böckstiegel: Die Gemälde 1910-1951, Munich 2014, no. 119 ( illustrated on p. 127). Jutta Hülsewig-Johnen/Vita von Wedel (ed.), Peter August Böckstiegel. Private collection, Baden-Württemberg (presumably directly from the artist). Family-owned ever since
In good condition. Craquelure in places of the impasto areas. Flaked spots in paint application expertly retouched, not impairing the painting's overall impression in daylight. The condition report was compiled to the best of our knowledge and belief in daylight and with the help of an ultraviolet light. [KA]
