• This work depicts Walter Kaesbach and Erich Heckel
• The expressionist art movement was characterized by the intense emotionality of the artists' experiences and their subjective view of reality.
• Erich Heckel was a founding member of the artist group “Brücke” (1905-1913).
The work is registered in the archive of the Erich Heckel estate in Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Ms. Renate Ebner, M.A. and Mr. Hans Geissler, Erich Heckel Estate Hemmenhofen, for their kind support in cataloging this lot.
