Charcoal drawing. On creme paper. 32.4 x 24.5 cm. , size of sheet.
Inscribed with a dedication by Dr. Peter Beckmann, son of the artist, dated 1964, to Prof. Theodor Garve (1902-1987), artist, academy professor, and former Beckmann student).
The work will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of drawings compiled by Dr. Stephan von Wiese and Hedda Finke. We are grateful for the kind expert advice.

Good overall impression. Overall slightly irregularly browned, with mount staining. Mounting residue on the reverse of the upper edge of the sheet, showing through to the recto. The upper left edge of the sheet is slightly irregular. With studio marks. [EH]
