Renowned Texas sculptor Jim Love was born in 1927 in Amarillo, Texas, and first gained national recognition in 1961 when his work was included in The Museum of Modern Art's groundbreaking exhibition The Art of Assemblage. His assemblages have been included in many exhibitions, publications, and large-scale public instillations. The Football Fan, is a classic example of Love's signature assemblage style.
